client's problem
At its last trade fair in November 1999, as part of a hall run by BATIWEB dedicated to the Internet, BATIMAT wanted to commission a survey on the rate of access to and use of the Internet in the building sphere.

The suggested approach After a presentation the various opportunities that the Internet offers, visitors to the 2 Batimat and Interclima trade fairs had the option, from Batimat's own web site, of answering the survey by means of a self-administered questionnaire. Using Soft Concept technology, answers are gathered on-line on a remote server, managing the chaining of questions in accordance with the answers from the survey. About 700 questionnaires were thus completed. The results obtained The survey provided an accurate appraisal of the ways in which the Internet is used in the building sphere, which has enabled a number of companies to benefit from it in implementing their own strategy as regards the web.Running the survey also provided a demonstration of the new opportunities available to business for gathering information via the Internet: surveys of customers or distributors by e-mail, polling visitors to web sites, internal research via intranet, etc. |
